100 educators from Pacific Northwest Christian schools gathered to hear Erika's presentation on "Raising Our Gaze: Big Questions and Meaningful Practices"! She walked the group through a philosophy of education based on biblical truths. They answered the questions:
- What is the nature and role of the teacher?
- What is the nature and role of the student?
- What is our purpose as educators, and as a school?
- What is the nature and role of curriculum?
- What is the nature and role of assessment?
- What is the nature and role of teaching and learning?
- What is the nature and role of community?
For each topic, Erika gave a twenty minute talk and guided small groups in discussion. Each topic included a mix of theology, research, storytelling and practical ideas.
They conquered the full philosophy of education in one day!
